Summer Interns Gain Experience at Victory Electric

The summer is full of opportunities for four interns. Three interns are starting their first summer with the cooperative, but for one student, this is his third summer. Jeff Hubbell is an intern in the engineering department. Hubbell is a student at Kansas State pursing a degree in electrical engineering and will be graduating in December.

Meis, Sanchez & Williamson Attend Washington, D.C., Youth Tour

Mackenzy Meis, Cimarron; ANDREA SANCHEZ, Dodge City; and CAMRYN WILLIAMSON, Dodge City; toured the nation’s capitol with 35 other students from across Kansas for the 54th Annual “Government in Action” Youth Tour, June 12-19.

Amy Grasser Named Victory’s New Manager of Human Resources

Victory Electric is pleased to announce the selection of Amy Grasser as the new manager of human resources, effective February 17, 2014.

Ed Stegman Retires after 53 years of Service

Ed Stegman, construction coordinator for Victory Electric, retired in February 2014.

Gaut Earns CFPC Certification

Jennifer Gaut, Victory Electric accountant, recently earned her Cooperative Financial Professional Certificate (CFPC). Gaut began the process in August 2012 and completed in October 2013. 

Area Third Graders Receive Dictionaries

Victory Electric teamed up with the Cimarron Rotary Club and United Telephone to donate a children’s dictionary to all third grade students in Gray County. Victory also donated to the Dodge City Rotary Club for Ford County students. 

Tool developed to analyze small wind turbine investments

Victory Electric and other Kansas electric cooperatives have seen an increase in the number of requests from our member-owners for information about owning renewable energy systems, particularly wind.
