Energy Assistance Applications Open Jan. 20
Funding for the Low Income Energy Assistance Program (LIEAP) is now in place for 2026. The application period begins Jan. 20 at 8 a.m. and ends March 31 at 5 p.m. LIEAP is a federally funded program that helps eligible households pay a portion of their home energy costs by providing a one-time-per-year benefit. Funding is provided by the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services.
Applications will not be accepted and payments will not be issued until the season officially opens Jan. 20.
