Victory Hosts Second Member Forum

Victory Electric hosted a second member forum Sept. 24 at the Boot Hill Casino & Resort Conference Center to explain how proposed large electric loads—particularly data centers—could affect electric service, rates, water resources, infrastructure and the local economy. Joining Victory CEO Shane Laws were Sunflower Electric Senior Vice President and Chief Operations Officer of Power Supply and Generation Corey Linville and representatives from the City of Dodge City and Ford County also presented

Presenters described large-load development as a significant economic opportunity, but said projects should move forward only if developers bear the costs and risks they create. Their priorities are protecting existing electric cooperative members, conserving local resources, maintaining reliable service and ensuring measurable community benefits.
