Annual Parade of Lights & Chili Cook-off

2024 Christmas Parade of Lights & Chili Cook-off will be held December 2.

Pull out Grandma's top-secret chili recipe, dust off your apron, polish your ladle, and warm up the roaster! While you're at it, grab some lights and decorate a trailer for the Annual Parade of Lights and Chili Cook-Off.

Festivities will begin at the Boot Hill Museum with the Chili Cook-Off. Public Sampling with begin at 4:30 p.m., Judges Choice Awards will be at 4:30 p.m.

Christmas fun will begin at 4 p.m. as well, prize registrations, Santa's House and Hot Chocolate.

Snowball drop begins at 5:00 p.m.

Then at 5:30 p.m., join us at the Visitor Information Center for the Mayor's Tree Ceremony events.

The evening will conclude with the Parade of Lights beginning at 6:00 p.m.

The planning committee for the 2024 Dodge City Christmas Parade of Lights event and other Christmas activities is made up of representatives from Victory Electric Cooperative, City of Dodge City, Dodge City Globe, Western Kansas Broadcast Center, Main Street Dodge CityDodge City Convention and Visitors Bureau, and the Dodge City Area Chamber of Commerce.

Main Street Dodge City is accepting letters to the Jolly Old Elf himself, Santa Claus!

Letters to Santa should be placed in the drop box located at the Dodge City Visitor Information Center at 400 W. Wyatt Earp Boulevard. All letters must be in the drop box by FRIDAY, DECEMBER 23.
