Wooden poles carry electricity to Victory Electric members throughout our service area. Over time wooden poles deteriorate and must be replaced to prevent pole failure.

To protect the reliability and safety of the electric system, Victory Electric conducts annual power pole inspections. A contractor inspects and tests a sampling of poles—above the ground and below, where the majority of decay occurs—to evaluate the condition and integrity of the poles.

Recent inspections completed by Sundance Power Pole Inspections in our service area identified multiple poles in south Dodge City that require replacement to meet established safety standards. As part of our commitment to providing reliable service, Victory Electric crews will be working in this area to replace the poles in the coming weeks.
